Fr Raphael Annan C.S.Sp.

From Ghana, Fr Raphael attended Bolgatanga Secondary School. He went on to do much his studies for the priesthood in Enugu, Nigeria.

Ordained in Ghana, he returned to Nigeria as a young priest, serving in pastoral and vocations-related roles and he was Director of the Spiritan Postulancy in Yola. He subsequently spent over a decade as parish priest in his home Diocese of Kumasi where the 50-year Spiritan presence dates back to the arrival in 1971 of a number of confrères from Ireland.

Fr Raphael took up an appointment in Ireland in 2014. He is Team Leader of Greenhills and Kimmage parishes, in the Archdiocese of Dublin, long administered by the Spiritans.

July 2021 marks the Silver Jubilee of Fr Raphael’s ordination to the priesthood in 1996.
