First visit to the Irish Province by Fr Kieran Alaribe C.S.Sp., Secretary General 8th April 2022

The Irish Province had the pleasure of hosting Fr. Kieran Alaribe’s first visit to Ireland in April 2022. Ordained in 1991 at Maria Assumpta Cathedral, Owerri in his native Nigeria, Fr Kieran was appointed to the Republic of Congo where he served for almost a decade.

The Irish Province had the pleasure of hosting Fr. Kieran Alaribe’s first visit to Ireland in April 2022. 

Ordained in 1991 at Maria Assumpta Cathedral, Owerri in his native Nigeria, Fr Kieran was appointed to the Republic of Congo where he served for almost a decade. He later studied French and Social Communications. Appointed Provincial Secretary of Nigeria in 2003, he subsequently became Registrar of the Spiritan International School of Theology (SIST) in Enugu and served in a pastoral role in Ogoniland. He has been the Congregation’s Secretary-General, based in Rome, since 2017.
